Spend some time wandering down the city’s most famous shopping street, Las Ramblas, and soak up the bustling atmosphere among the shops and street artists of this tree-lined boulevard. Culture vultures might like to visit the Picasso Museum to view a huge collection of the famous artist’s work. Take some time out to admire Gaudi’s iconic architectural masterpieces throughout the city, such as the Sagrada Familia and Le Pedrera or perhaps visit the Natural History Museum. Enjoy breakfast in Barcelona before checking out of your hotel and making your way to the railway station, where you’ll catch the high-speed AVE train to Madrid. On arrival, check in at your hotel for a two night stay. In the afternoon, why not take a stroll around the impressive Buen Retiro Park, one of the largest parks in all of Madrid, and a wonderful spot for people watching, architecture spotting and even boating on the shimmering lake. Later, you may wish to enjoy a drink along the Paseo de la Castellana or maybe the Gran Via, an elaborate and upmarket shopping street, known as the ‘Spanish Broadway’. (Overnight in Madrid) B
After breakfast the next morning, head out to one of the world-famous museums that make up Madrid’s ‘Golden Triangle of Art’. We can highly recommend the masterpieces of the iconic Prado Museum.
